Pre-Kit vs Shipping from Inventory

  • updated 1 yr ago

Our program customers have the ability to send multiple items to an end user at the click of a button. This guide is an overview on when you should pre-kit items going into inventory vs when you should place an order directly from inventory.

When to Pre-Kit

  • When Presentation Matters - with pre-kitting, we can add finishing options like tissue paper, custom tape, a handwritten card (must be a 5x7, non-glossy card),  and much more. We can also include a photo proof if requested of what your kit looks like before production to make sure you love it and can make any needed changes before full production. Our Kitting Team ensures everything is packaged with care to have the best look upon arrival & stay secure for shipping.
  • When Speed for Shipping Matters - if you need kits to ship out quickly, pre-kitting accomplishes this.  Our fulfillment team is able to pick & pack them extremely quickly (within 24 hours) when it's just one SKU. By having multiple orders with multiple skus, it takes our team longer to ship out. In an age where people are used to Amazon Prime, getting that email with your tracking number quickly is crucial.
  • You have more than 1 small items to add:  For packages including mulitple items, we recommend kitting to prevent mistake, along with speed for shipping and presenation.

SKU Add on Feature

  • We have the ability to add on a product to every order with our sku add on feature. This is great if you want to include something like a thank you note, sticker or extra item with every store order. It's perfect to add an extra touch to your purchaser's order or to clear out old inventory.
  • We recommend only doing 1 SKU add on per portal.
