How to Place a Job for Tackle Twill w/ Arrow Emblems

Tackle Twill gives dimension and depth on t-shirts and sweatshirts—popular with the collegiate scene. The custom tackle twill patches make application and production easier, and allow us to do orders in house, rather than outsourcing to contract decorators.

Please see guide for screen-printed transfers before referencing this guide, as it explains how to set up a transfer job. Just as with screen-printed transfers, you will need a separate job for tackle twill other than the main job. 

NOTE:  All Arrow Emblem patches should include the Heat Seal backing, unless another is specifically requested by client or decorator.

 

QUOTING: 

  • AM emails PO@kotisdesign.com requesting quote
    • Must include in email: job # or visual of artwork, size of artwork, qty’s to be quoted  
  • OPA visits Arrow Emblems website to determine what type of patch is needed
    • Select the right type of tackle twill based on artwork 

    • Determine the # of layers and the design type 

 

  • OPA emails the Service Team @ Arrow Emblems to get quote—include the following info:
    • Size of artwork/area of garment it will apply to 
    • Design type 
    • # of layers of fabric (if necessary) 
    • Colors listed in Art Details* 
    • Artwork attached (a link to our art proof will also work) 
    • Qtys – based on total # of garments 
  • OPA replies to AM with quote within 1 hour of quote request (ideally) 

    • KPS COST: $0.75 application cost per location (this is the same $0.75 cost that KPS charges for the screen-printed transfers, since there is no difference in the actual application process, just the type of transfer)

  • OPA leaves note in bottom left-hand corner of job page (if applicable) with quote 

NOTE ON PMS COLOR-MATCHING: Arrow will match to the color on this chart, please refer to it and alert the AM if there are any major differences.

INDIVIDUAL NAMES:   Arrow cannot quote individual last names, without having each  name.  

OPA will go to the webpage;  click on Tackle Twill, then custom script. Look at the pricing grid based on layers and dimensions of the last name.  These are coded on an A.

Confirm with AM that costs are "Estimates" only.

 

TACKLE TWILL JOB SET-UP

Once you’ve received a quote from the vendor, follow the steps below to set up a transfer job to deliver to KPS for application. 

  1. From the job page dropdown, select “Create Reorder” 
  2. NO to “Decorating at [printer name] again” 
  3. Estimated value should be $0-100. If it’s a large qty, $100-500. 
  4. Reason for reordering – Standard Reorder 
  5. Click Next 
  6. Do not assign any Showcases to the reorder! 
  7. Click “Create Reorder” 
  8. Edit contact to AM’s contact info, remove customer contact info 
  9. Switch AM to AM on KPS job, Save Changes 
  10. Add in product row: 
  • Supplier:
    • Supplier: Arrow Emblems 
  • Product ID:
    • Product ID: “NOID”  
  • Color: whatever color/combo per quote/job page
  • Other: Transfer/product name
    • Asterisk (*) + patch type 
  • Shipping via Fedex Ground

    11.  Save Changes 

    12.  Edit quantities, save changes 

    13.  Set Delivery Method to “Send to Another Job – Eventual Single Address” or “Send to         Another Job – Eventual Split-Ship” (check the KPS job for shipping details and select         accordingly) 

    14.  Add job # of KPS job, Save Changes 

    15.  Job Page Dropdown > Invoicing > Not Invoicing 

    16.  Check RFP 

    17.  requests artwork from art@kotisdesign.com 

    18.  Send Artwork/Artwork proof link, and tackle twill PO         to service@arrowemblems.com  

  • Fill out form according to info on job page, making sure to note the PO in the “contact name” field and PO@kotisdesign.com as the email contact so we can track the bill/ship date (edit – the below photo shows the accounting email for this, but we’ve updated to the PO email). 

    19.  Once tackle twill order is sent, OPA sends WO to KPS based off of in-hands date on         tackle twill job . 

  • IMPORTANT: Any changes made to either job page need to be made to the other job page, i.e. qtys, timeline, etc. 

 

When will the patches arrive at KPS?  

  • 13-15 business days after art approval (this includes the 1-day ship from Arrow to KPS) 

  • RUSH: $45 for express direct**
