Inventory Donations and/or Recycling Process

  • updated 1 mth ago

Occasionally you may elect to donate a variety of items from your inventory; this is commonly done with outdated logos or designs so room can be made for new gear. It is our goal to help in ensuring that minimal items are thrown out, therefore we are happy to partner in a donation process.

Why Recycle?

Did you know it takes 200 years for synthetic and chemical-treated clothing to decompose? Recycling is good for all! Your unwanted tshirt can be made into something new- from sewing thread to a brand-new shirt! Many materials can also be shredded and used as insulation for buildings and houses. Recycling helps us reduce the amount of waste in landfills and provides purpose including jobs! We can help you recycle through our partners.

Why Donate?

Donating items is an environment and community friendly alternative to prevent items going to a disposal area. It is estimated that 121 million tons of waste end up in U.S. landfills alone each year. Giving to organizations helps divert these products from going in the landfill and impacts individuals by providing education and training/jobs. Resourcing these organizations aids in helping those in need.

Process:

  • Notify your Program Manager (PM) which SKUs to donate or recycle. Details to be included: item type(s), quantities, etc.
  • Let your PM know if there is a specific organization you would like these items donated. If the organization does not offer pick-up, you will be billed the shipping cost on your quarterly report. If you would like these items to be part of a recycling program, please ask.
  • Your PM will send a Donation Agreement Letter to confirm you agree with the terms to donate, recycle, or discard your inventory.
  • Once decided, our Customer Support team will coordinate the donation/recycling with our Kotis Warehouse team who will work on pulling the items.  The standard timeline is approx. 7 business days.
  • We have partnerships with a few local organizations that offer pick-up of donations.  We can’t guarantee a donation location will accept the items, but we will request if you have a preference. All recycling is shipped out and fees are applied.
